Basic Spring Cleaning Tips
- Open all the windows and doors to allow fresh air in and dust out.
- Work clockwise around the room.
- Start at the top and work your way down-That way the dust and dirt from the wall does
not mess up the floor you have already mopped.
- Use a pillowcase to clear dust from ceiling fans, place each fan blade in the pillow case
and wipe with the inside of case. The pillowcase (not your nose) catches the majority of
the dust.
- Dress comfortable and wear practical tie-up shoes. Saves you time taking rugs or things
outside, and it is safer than sandals or being barefoot. (Tip I learned from flylady)

Five Things to Do Before Spring Cleaning
Doing these five things will help make spring cleaning
less stressful and more successful.
1. Purge old and useless items from each room,
closet and cabinet.
2. Make sure room is straightened or basically clean
before you begin.
3. Empty all trash from room and replace the bag in
the trash can
4. Develop a “stay clean” plan for each room or your
entire house.
5. Check your supplies (cleansers, mop bucket,
towels, wash cloths, paper towels etc…)
